Play simple netball is a successful sports franchise the delivers social netball leagues for all ages and abilities.
The idea first occurred to founder, Joanna Wilks, almost 10 years ago when working in London. Jo recognised that there was a limited opportunity for players to play socially irrespective of ability. Such leagues existed in countries such as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa but there was limited opportunity within the UK and the concept of Play Simple Netball was born.
Returning to Manchester in 2006 the first teams and leagues were established and such was the success of the idea that there are now over 700 members and more than 100 teams are playing every single week. The model has been replicated across the North West and numbers and leagues continue to grow.
This growth has brought its own problems. The need to share documents, schedules and calendars within the business, between staff members who perhaps might not be in the office at the same time needed to be addressed. In finding a solution to this problem, Joanna recognised that ideally the ability to share this information with people outside the business, typically franchisees would be a distinct advantage.
